Duezer coordinates group payment reminders. We store the basic contact info you give us to send those reminders and track who's paid. We never see or handle your money — payments happen directly between you and whoever you're paying, inside Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or your bank's Zelle feature.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
When you create a collection, we collect the names and email addresses (and, in the future, phone numbers) of the participants you add, along with the payment amounts and due dates you set.
We do not collect or store bank account numbers, card numbers, or any other financial account credentials — Duezer never asks for them, because we never process payments ourselves.
We use this information to send payment reminder emails, display collection status to organizers, and let participants view what they owe and how to pay it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Duezer marks a participant as "paid" when an organizer manually confirms it, or as "pending" when a participant self-reports a payment or clicks through to a payment app. Because Duezer doesn't process payments directly, we cannot independently verify that a payment was actually completed — organizers should confirm receipt through their own Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or bank activity before treating a balance as settled.
We use a small number of service providers to run Duezer, each of whom only sees the data needed to do their job:
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. When you tap a payment link, you leave Duezer and interact directly with Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or your bank — their own privacy policies govern that interaction, not ours.
We keep your account and collection data as long as your account is active. You can delete a collection at any time from your dashboard, which permanently removes it and its participant data. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the email below.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest through our infrastructure providers. Access to your account is protected by your password and, for password resets, a one-time code sent to your email. As with any online service, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Duezer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
