Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

What Duezer is

Duezer is a coordination and reminder tool for group payments. It helps organizers request money from a group, send reminders, and track who's paid.

Duezer is not a payment processor, money transmitter, or financial institution. We never collect, hold, or transfer funds. All actual payments happen directly between participants and organizers through third-party apps — Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle — under those companies' own terms and policies.

Your responsibilities

As an organizer, you're responsible for the accuracy of the amounts, due dates, and payment information (like your Venmo handle) you enter, and for confirming — through your own payment app or bank — that a payment was actually received before relying on it.

As a participant, you're responsible for actually completing payment through the method you choose, and for the accuracy of any self-reported payment status.

Payment status is not a guarantee

"Paid" and "pending" statuses shown in Duezer reflect organizer confirmation or self-reporting by participants — they are not verified through any banking or payment API. Duezer makes no representation or warranty that a payment marked as paid or pending has actually been completed, and is not liable for any discrepancy between displayed status and actual funds transferred.

Acceptable use

Don't use Duezer to collect money for illegal purposes, to harass or defraud participants, or to send spam. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

No warranty

Duezer is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep the service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duezer and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including disputes between organizers and participants over payments made outside of Duezer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Duezer after changes means you accept the updated terms.
